Breaking New Ground in 2018

The end of the year is just around the corner, and here at The Dragas Companies, we’re ready to close out another successful year and say hello to the next. This year has marked quite a few achievements for The Dragas Companies. Through our partnership with ForKids, we had the honor of again being the title sponsor for their largest annual fundraiser. We also assisted in sending 16 children to summer camp, provided 50 backpacks full of school supplies for children going back to school and donated hundreds of toys and gifts for the ForKids families during the holiday season. We were honored to receive recognition multiple times in 2017 for being an outstanding builder. We were recognized as the top-selling local builder in Hampton Roads by Residential DataBank for each quarter in 2017 and expect to close more than 230 homes in 2017. Spence Crossing at Princess Anne was once again named as the best-selling community in Hampton Roads by Residential DataBank. This beautifully-designed neighborhood of stylish homes located in the heart of Virginia Beach outranks more than 50 other new communities in Hampton Roads. Spence Crossing appeals to a variety of home buyers thanks to a wide offering of home styles and price points. From two-bedroom condominiums starting in the low $200’s at Fernhill to our three-story garaged townhomes at Mallory, or our single-family homes at Halstead, Spence Crossing offers the perfect space for every lifestyle.

In addition, we were given the 2017 Builder of Integrity Award by Quality Builders Warranty Corporation in acknowledgement of our commitment to customer service and quality construction. We also celebrated success as we sold out of homes at Hadley Park at Greenbrier, Crofton at Spence Crossing, and sold all but the final few homes at King’s Pointe at Western Branch in Chesapeake.

Looking ahead to 2018, we’re excited to open the much-anticipated Hickory Manor at Edinburgh community in Chesapeake. This community is a mix of single-family homes and garaged townhomes with access to incredible amenities including a beautiful clubhouse, resort-style pool and more, all within the highly desirable Hickory School District. Next year, we also look forward to opening The Woodlands at Western Branch, a quiet community of our 2-bedroom villas surrounded by a wooded preservation area and adjacent to The Russell Memorial Library. The year of 2018 is also a very special milestone for The Dragas Companies as we will be celebrating our 50^th anniversary! We can’t wait to share more information with you on the celebrations that will take place throughout the year to honor such an incredible milestone. Many of these achievements would have never been possible without support from the community, our employees, trade partners and of course our homeowners, who encourage us to continue to strive for excellence.
