Dragas Grants Christmas Wishes with ForKids

Thanks to many generous donations from our local community, a lot more children will find a gift waiting for them under the tree this year. The Dragas Companies was able to give ForKids three overflowing boxes of toys, plus gift cards, this holiday season. Each year, our Dragas team partners with ForKids to help serve Hampton Roads kids and their families. “This is only one small way we can help give back to our community,” states Sally Horvath, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Dragas Companies. “For many of these children, this will be the only gift they receive for Christmas. We love that ForKids, our community and our Dragas team can come together and make Christmas special for so many children!” Since its humble beginning nearly 30 years ago, ForKids has grown into one of the largest providers for homeless families in Virginia. To date, they have helped over 47,500 lives annually through holistic housing programs and extended services for families. Studies show that growing up in poverty can have an adverse psychological impact on a child. As a by-product of little or no hope for the future, children often grow up with low self-esteem. ForKids is on a mission to stop this. Through hard work, they are helping break the cycle of homelessness in Virginia.
