Dragas Companies to begin development on a new community in Chesapeake.
Land rezoned for 72 condominiums near Greenbriar.
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – Dragas Companies, a leading home developer in Hampton Roads is making way for their next community development project in the Greenbriar section of Chesapeake, VA, after the land was rezoned on Tuesday, March 16th.
Dragas Companies received approval to build the new condominium community on 3.6 acres of land located on Tinturn Lane, off Battlefield Boulevard near I-64 in Chesapeake. The new community, Branford Square, will consist of 72 homes within three story buildings. The homes will feature dual, primary bedrooms with the convenience of one-level living. The neighborhood will include ponds, walking trails, and a dog park.
Branford Square will mimic the homes being developed later this year at Guilford at Spence Crossing in Virginia Beach and have been one of Dragas’ most popular models.
“The success we have seen with these unique models is undeniable”, says Nick Baum, VP of Planning and Business Development at Dragas. “It has been one of our best-selling model types and we feel this location will host the perfect spot for the lifestyles these homes attract.”
The garden-style condominiums lend themselves to a wide mix of residents from first-time millennial home buyers to empty nesters looking to downsize to a first-floor, one-level home. With inventory all over Hampton Roads at an all-time low, this project will bring much-needed housing to the area.
