Dragas Companies Participates in Habitat for Humanity’s Women Build Week
August 7, 2020
Habitat for Humanity’s International Women Build Week is an annual weeklong event created by Habitat’s Women Build program in partnership with Lowe’s. The program brings together 6,000 women volunteers in more than 235 communities across the globe to build and improve 540 homes while raising awareness of housing issues facing women and their families.
This year, the women of Dragas Companies donned their hardhats and volunteered their time to help Habitat for Humanity build a new home for a deserving family and learn new skills as well.
These women, under the guidance of construction professionals, nailed, hammered, cut, and constructed portions of a three-bedroom home, two-story home in Hampton Roads.
Women Build opportunities are available in Hampton Roads and across the U.S. for any women who want to learn how to build and construct a new home and improve the community. Learn more about the program by visiting habitat.org/volunteer.
