Women's Build Week for Habitat for Humanity

On Friday Dragas team members got the opportunity to participate at the Women’s Build Week for Habitat for Humanity of South Hampton Roads, Inc.! Dragas Companies is a women owned builder with many talented female team members who look forward to this week every year! The week consists of women from across the area, coming together to help build a safe and stable home for a family in need, where they can grow and thrive. This year’s selected family consisted of a mom and dad and three children. They’re currently living in a cramped two-bedroom apartment with a $1,200 monthly rent. The parents, originally from Morocco, are now US Citizens. He works at the shipyard and she is a Cybersecurity student at TCC. The home being built is a new construction, four-bedroom, two bath, 1500 square foot house. From accounting to marketing to warranty and account management departments - Dragas ladies represented and had a great time taking part in the build. We are already anticipating next year’s build!
